Effective March 2022 the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) changed inspection interval from every 36 months or 36,000 miles to once a year for all vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) to once every 12 months.
Complete CNG Fuel System Inspections
Cylinder Inspection
Cylinder expiration date to ensure the cylinders have not exceeded their expiration date
Pressure rating of cylinders to assure that cylinders meet the system-pressure rating
Visually inspect all cylinders for damage resulting from various situations such as:
Abrasion, cuts, gouges, and impact damage
Accident damage – the fuel system must be inspected after any accident exceeding 5 mph
Heat damage – cylinders must be inspected if they have been exposed to a fire
Chemical damage
Cylinder mounting bracket inspection – Ensure that all mounting blocks, brackets, and other components are in good condition and properly secured
Fuel system inspection:
Check for any loose parts
Missing parts
Damaged components
Leaks in system
Required decal markings
Cylinder valves
Pressure Relief Devices (PRD’s):
Vent line inspection – proper installation and condition
PRD valves for damage and leaks
Shield inspection – visually inspect the cylinder shields for missing or damaged components.
NFPA 52 – Review CNG fuel system installation for compliance with NFPA 52 codes
Detailed report of all findings

CCI provides 48 hour response time to “out of service” vehicles for our regular customers. (Customers that use our inspection services)
CCI offers a $20/hr discount on service for customers using our inspection services.

CCI provides new system installs for all CNG system manufacturers
CCI installs complete replacement units
All systems are installed as per manufacturer requirements and NFPA 52 code
CCI provides system decommissioning on all systems as per code

Holes are drilled into the cylinders as per code.
CCI will remove decommissioned unit from trucks as per customer requests.
